Saving Forests

The Saving Forests (forestSTAR) initiative enables purchasers to give back to their community and environment.  Villawood Properties have acquired privately owned and forested land nestled within the Greater Bendigo National Park in Victoria which is the natural habitat of many precious indigenous flora and fauna.

For every block of land that is purchased from Villawood Properties, the equal area of forested land is donated back to the people of Victoria by and is added to the National Park, ensuring it is protected forever. Now that is land with a return!

Villawood Properties strongly believe in responsible development and encouraging a greener future for generations to come. The Saving Forests initiative has been running since April 2008 and has already donated approximately 109 hectares of forested land back to the Greater Bendigo National Park for future conservation.

Every purchaser within a Villawood community receives a forestSTAR certificate upon purchasing land from us as a thank you for the contribution made in helping protect more forested land for the future.

Villawood Properties also supports the preservation and protection of significant Aboriginal, indigenous and cultural heritage sites and locations under our care. We are proactive in undertaking the investigation, recovery and retention of such sites wherever possible in the planning and development of new urban communities.
